About this Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Psychologist to join our Avel eCare Behavioral Health team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering medical management and support for patients through telehealth services, focusing primarily on autism assessments and behavioral health care. You will work under the guidance of the Avel eCare Medical Director, adhering to the highest clinical and ethical standards as outlined by the American Psychological Association and Avel eCare policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct acute assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for patients requiring autism evaluations.
- Perform autism assessments using industry-standard tools (e.g., CARS-2, TELE-ASD-PEDS, ADOS-2) in collaboration with families and other professionals as needed.
- Engage in collaborative discussions regarding case assessments with families, referring facilities, and handoff facilities.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, practice policies, and standards, supporting Avel eCare’s practice goals.
- Educate staff, patients, and families on care standards and best practices.
- Evaluate Avel eCare metrics, contributing to performance improvements and quality standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and agencies to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Demonstrate strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills, fostering positive team collaboration.
- Contribute to workflow improvements and quality assurance initiatives in collaboration with administrative leaders.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Doctoral degree (Ph.D., PsyD, or EdD) required.
- Licensure: Active psychology license; state-specific certification as required.
- Experience: Experience with autism assessments preferred, including telehealth experience.
- PsyPact certification preferred.
